Aluminium Extrusion Machinery for the Gulf — Verified Before It Ships

The Gulf is one of the densest aluminium ecosystems in the world. EGA's smelting capacity feeds a large downstream extrusion sector across the UAE, and Saudi Vision 2030 local-content programmes are pushing a wave of greenfield extrusion plants — facades, windows, industrial profiles, solar mounting. Most of that new capacity will run on Chinese machinery, because at 30–70% below European price levels for comparable specifications, the arithmetic is hard to argue with.

The real question is not whether to buy Chinese — it is how to buy Chinese without absorbing the risks yourself. We are a European-run sourcing operation for aluminium extrusion machinery: we audit the factory, define the specification by parameters (tonnage, output, billet diameter — not brochure model numbers), witness factory acceptance tests before payment milestones, and publish honest price ranges instead of "contact us for quote".

The factory we represent has documented installations in the region: a wood-grain heat transfer machine delivered to Dubai and tested on site, and a PA66 thermal break strip extruder operating in Saudi Arabia. We attribute that record precisely — it is the factory's track record, verified by us, not a claim we inflate into our own.

Why Gulf extruders add European-style verification to a Chinese purchase

The alternative is well known in the region: fly to Foshan, tour three factories hand-picked by the seller, watch a demonstration run, and sign against a proforma invoice. Some of those deals work out. The ones that do not fail in predictable ways — the "factory" turns out to be a trading office reselling another plant's production, the machine that ships differs from the one demonstrated, the hydraulics and PLC are not the branded components quoted, and the manuals arrive in Chinese.

Our role is to remove exactly those failure modes. We verify who actually manufactures the machine (in this industry, trading companies presenting themselves as factories are the norm, not the exception), we fix the specification in the contract by measurable parameters, and we tie payments to a witnessed factory acceptance test — the machine runs your profile, your die, your cycle times before the balance is released. Everything is documented in English.

This model is not theoretical in the Gulf — buyers in Dubai already purchase Foshan-built presses through local suppliers. What we add is the verification layer done by people whose business depends on the machine working after commissioning, not on closing the next order. Details of the process are on our import and verification page.

What we supply for the Gulf market

**Complete extrusion plants for greenfield investors.** Vision 2030 local-content incentives and the UAE's downstream push are creating new plants, not just replacement demand. We configure complete extrusion lines around the press tonnage your profile mix actually requires — extrusion presses from roughly 600 to 6,000 US tons, billet heating with hot shear, handling systems with cooling tables, stretcher and automatic saw, ageing ovens and die furnaces. If you are at the planning stage, start with our guide on how to start an aluminium extrusion plant and the honest breakdown of what an extrusion line costs — a full Chinese line typically lands in the 0.5–2 million USD range depending on tonnage and automation.

**Thermal break machinery.** The Gulf facade and window market runs on thermally broken profiles — cooling loads make them non-negotiable. We supply the full chain: PA66 GF25 strip extruders and assembly machines (knurling, strip insertion, rolling). A strip extruder from the factory we represent is already operating in Saudi Arabia. For extruders currently buying strip from the European duopoly, in-house extrusion is a make-vs-buy calculation we can help you run.

**Wood grain sublimation.** Wood-grain heat transfer machines are the regional bestseller — wood-effect profiles dominate Gulf villa and hospitality projects. A machine from the factory we represent was delivered to Dubai and tested on site; this is the lowest-risk, fastest-payback entry point in the catalogue.

**Surface finishing.** Anodising lines engineered for 60–300 t/month including hard-coat options for architectural work in coastal climates, and vertical or horizontal powder coating lines. We also cover the periphery that rarely gets planned properly: profile packing lines, melting furnaces and dross recycling — relevant wherever billet or scrap economics matter. The full catalogue is at /en/machines/.

Logistics: Shenzhen to Jebel Ali or Dammam

Machinery ships from Shenzhen. The China–Gulf lane is one of the busiest in the world: direct sailings to Jebel Ali typically run 12–18 days, and Dammam around 18–25 days — materially shorter and cheaper than the routing to Europe, with no Red Sea detour premium on the eastbound leg.

Oversized cargo is routine in this trade, not an exception. Press containers, long stretcher beds and furnace shells move as flat-rack or break-bulk; smaller machines — sublimation units, strip extruders, packing lines — fit standard containers. We coordinate export packing, marine insurance and documentation, and can work with your clearing agent at Jebel Ali or Dammam or arrange delivery to site. Lead times from order: auxiliary machines 20–30 days ex-works, presses and complete lines typically 4–6 months including FAT.

How we work

The process is deliberately unexciting. First, a specification by parameters: profile mix, target output in tonnes per month, billet diameter, alloy range — from which press tonnage and line configuration follow. Second, factory verification: we confirm the actual manufacturer, production capability and component sourcing (the branded hydraulics and PLCs quoted must be the ones installed). Third, a contract with milestone payments tied to evidence, not promises.

Before final payment, a factory acceptance test: the machine assembled and run at the factory, against agreed acceptance criteria, witnessed and documented — with your engineers present in person or via a live video protocol. Only then does the machine ship. Commissioning support and spare parts supply are agreed in the contract, not left to goodwill.

We publish price ranges openly because the games played with "special prices" in this market waste everyone's time. The full procedure, including what we check during a factory audit and what a FAT protocol contains, is described on our import process page.

A note on certification: CE is a European framework — the GCC has its own

You will see Chinese machinery advertised region-wide as "CE certified". Treat that claim with care: CE marking is an EU legal framework, it has no regulatory standing in the GCC, and in this equipment category the certificates shown are often issued by bodies with no accreditation worth the paper. We wrote a plain-language guide on what CE marking on Chinese machinery actually means — the same scepticism applies to certificates waved at Gulf buyers.

What matters for a UAE or Saudi installation is your local conformity landscape — SABER/SASO registration in Saudi Arabia, ESMA/MoIAT requirements in the UAE, plus your insurer's and your industrial-city authority's expectations for machine safety documentation. We do not overclaim here: industrial extrusion machinery largely falls outside consumer certification schemes, and requirements vary by emirate, city and project. What we commit to is concrete — complete technical documentation in English, safety documentation aligned with recognised international standards, and cooperation with your local conformity consultant so registration is a paperwork exercise, not an archaeology project.

If a supplier tells you certification is "no problem, all included", that is usually the moment to start asking for issuing bodies and certificate numbers. We will show you ours — including for the machines that have none, because saying so honestly is the whole point.

Planning an extrusion investment in the Gulf?

Send us your profile mix and target output, or the specific machine you are pricing — we respond with a parameter-based configuration and an honest price range, not a brochure. Reference visits to the documented installations in Dubai and Saudi Arabia can be arranged for serious enquiries. Contact us — English-speaking, European-run, and we answer on WhatsApp during Gulf business hours.
