The puller grips the profile as it emerges from the die and draws it along the run-out table under constant, controlled tension, synchronised with the ram speed. The payoff is easy to measure: profiles come out straight, without waving or twisting, and touch nothing but the table belts — less stretcher work, less end scrap, and the ability to run thin-wall and multi-cavity dies that come out crooked without one. Many plants know the symptom before they know the machine's name: if your profiles need heavy stretching to straighten, or you lose metres to bent ends, this is the missing link in the line.

Two layouts are available. The double puller with flying saw (for presses around 1000 tonnes, 5″ billet) runs two heads alternately — while one guides the profile, the other returns at 180 m/min, so the press never waits. Pulling force is adjustable from 10 to 120 kg, working speed up to 60 m/min; the flying saw with a ø500 mm blade cuts the profile on the move along a 5 m track, and the 130×320 mm clamps take interchangeable shaped inserts for different sections. Servo drives, Schneider electrics.

The single puller (for presses around 2000 tonnes, 8″ billet) is the simpler, cheaper machine: a 30 HP Siemens AC motor, pulling force smoothly adjustable from 5 to 400 kg, an integrated 26″ hot saw (5.5 kW) and a Siemens S7-200 PLC. Chain drive, hydraulic clamping.

A puller can be added to an existing press — we size it from your press tonnage, run-out table length and typical sections. Single or double with flying saw?

The single puller suits lower outputs and longer cycles — simpler and cheaper. The double works alternately (the free head returns at 180 m/min), so the press never waits and the profile is cut on the fly — the choice for short cycles and thin-wall sections. We advise after reviewing your production mix.

Can a puller be retrofitted to my existing press?

Yes — it is a common upgrade. We need the press tonnage and maker, run-out table length and your profile sections; the puller synchronises with extrusion speed through the control system. EU conformity work on the saw area is quoted as part of the offer.
