Everything that happens to an aluminium profile between the press platen and the aging oven happens on the handling system: the profile is received, cooled, stretched straight and cut to commercial length. We supply the complete train: an initial table with cooling (air fans or a water quench tank in steel or stainless steel), run-out table, transfer table with felt belts and chain-driven rollers, cooling table, storage table, a stretcher in one-man or two-man version with adjustable pulling force, and an automatic finished saw with touchscreen length sizing and a chip collector. A PLC with HMI ties the whole train together and synchronises it with the press cycle.

Construction follows the scale of the plant: belt-type tables suit smaller presses, while large presses get the chain-with-belt design that carries heavy sections without marking the surface. All contact surfaces are lined with heat-resistant felt (PBO/Kevlar grades available — we supply these as consumables too). One installation detail we insist on: the entire train is levelled within 1 mm, because a profile with a 1.2 mm wall does not forgive steps between tables. The choice between air and water cooling depends on your alloys and required mechanical properties — we advise during configuration. (US: aluminum run-out table.)

This is not a shelf product: section lengths and widths are sized to press tonnage, profile length and available floor space, and the layout design is free of charge. The manufacturer has reference installations of this system running in South Korea. It makes most sense ordered together with the press — for example the 1800-tonne extrusion press — and the aging oven: one schedule, one FAT, machines matched to each other. We also deliver systems for existing presses. For how the handling system fits the budget of a whole plant, see aluminium extrusion line cost.

CE status

CE: machine requires EU conformity work — we arrange a compliance quote

System w standardzie fabrycznym wymaga dostosowania do wymogów UE — przede wszystkim osłon i obwodów bezpieczeństwa w strefie piły i naciągarki. Zakres i koszt dostosowania podajemy wprost w ofercie.

How we work

Transaction terms

  • Production lead time: 10–16 wks

Applications

Receiving, cooling, stretch-straightening and cut-to-length of profiles behind extrusion presses — from small 500–600 t machines to large presses for industrial sections; architectural, window-system and structural profiles at commercial lengths.

Who it is for

Extruders completing a new extrusion line; plants replacing manual profile handling with an automatic system; companies modernising worn-out tables behind an existing press.

FAQ

How much does a run-out and handling table system cost?

Indicatively €40–80k EXW, depending on section lengths, cooling type (air or water quench), stretcher and saw versions. The system is sized individually, so the exact quote follows your press tonnage, profile lengths and floor plan — but the range on this page is public and realistic.

Belt type or chain type?

Belt type is cheaper and sufficient for smaller presses; the chain-with-belt design carries heavy profiles from large presses without deformation or surface marks. Press tonnage and profile weight per metre decide — we size it during configuration.

Can I order it for my existing press?

Yes. Send the press tonnage and cycle, profile lengths and hall dimensions — we prepare a free layout design. The one hard requirement is a floor that allows the train to be levelled within 1 mm.

What about CE?

The factory-standard system needs EU conformity work — mainly guarding and safety circuits around the saw and stretcher zones. We state the scope and cost of that work in the offer instead of promising 'CE included'.
