The thermal break assembly set joins two aluminium profile halves with polyamide strips into a finished insulated window or facade profile. It is a two-machine line: a knurling machine with an integrated strip feeder, followed by a combining (rolling) machine that crimps the profile groove onto the strip. Three steps: knurl the grooves, insert the strips, roll the joint closed.
The entry version processes around 5 tonnes of profiles per day and accepts sections up to 260 × 380 mm — enough for nearly all window and door systems and a large share of facade profiles. The manufacturer sizes larger sets to your daily tonnage, strip and profile geometry and available floor space, so treat the 5 t/day machine as the starting point of a configurable range, not a fixed product.
An honest word about operation: the machines are mechanically simple, and the quality of the composite profile lives entirely in roll setup. Every profile change means adjusting roll pressure and shear-testing samples — EN 14024 defines what a thermal barrier joint must withstand. Plan for a disciplined setup routine rather than plug-and-play; we supply the manufacturer's setting instructions and remote commissioning support, and we recommend a simple shear test on samples from every batch from day one.
The set runs on strips from any supplier as well as strips from your own PA66 GF25 extruder — at serious strip volumes, ask us for the make-vs-buy calculation alongside the machine quote. The factory-standard machine needs EU conformity work on guarding and safety circuits before production use; we quote that work openly instead of hiding it.
