The batch sublimation chamber is the lowest-cost entry into wood-finish aluminium: a chamber oven with forced hot-air circulation that transfers the printed grain from sublimation film into the powder coating at 150–200°C, held within ±5°C. You wrap the powder-coated profile in film, weld it into a sleeve, pull vacuum and roll the trolley into the chamber — 7 to 20 minutes later the load comes out 'wooden'. Realistic output: 3–5 tonnes per day.

The chamber takes workpieces up to 6 m long and 1.5 m wide, up to 50 mm thick — so not just profiles, but also aluminium sheets and tubes, which continuous lines generally cannot handle. Walls with 200 mm insulation keep the heat in and the fuel bill down; heating runs on natural gas, LPG, diesel or electricity (Bentone burner), control is a Siemens PLC with touchscreen, and unloading is assisted by an air-blow system.

An honest word: this is a batch machine, not an automatic line. If you plan to run steadily above 5 tonnes of wood-finish product per day, go straight to the continuous side-loading sublimation machine from our wood grain sublimation range — it works non-stop at 5–10 t/day. But for a technology start-up phase, shorter runs and frequent pattern changes, the chamber is simply the smarter buy: it costs less than half the automatic machine, fits any building and needs no extra crew. Many customers start with the chamber and add the automatic line once wood-finish sales take off — the chamber then stays on for short runs and odd-sized pieces.

The scope includes loading trolleys, the vacuum system and a starter stock of sublimation film in patterns from the manufacturer's catalogue.

How we work

Transaction terms

  • Production lead time: 5–9 wks

Applications

Wood-finish profiles for fencing, gates, railings, pergolas and window systems; aluminium sheets and tubes with wood effect; short runs and custom patterns.

Who it is for

Fencing and joinery manufacturers entering wood-finish production on a limited budget; powder coating job-shops adding sublimation as a service; plants with a continuous line needing a second machine for short runs.

FAQ

How much does a batch wood grain sublimation machine cost?

Indicatively €20–45k EXW depending on chamber size, heating version and vacuum equipment — less than half the price of the continuous machine. The range on this page is public; the exact quote is prepared for your profiles.

Batch chamber or continuous side-loading machine?

Chamber: up to 3–5 t/day, lower entry cost, also handles sheets and tubes — right for starting out and short runs. Continuous: 5–10 t/day for large, repeatable volumes. If you are still testing the wood-finish market, start with the chamber; the automatic line can always be added later.

What else do I need to start production?

A powder-coated base (in-house or subcontracted), an ultrasonic film welding machine and sublimation transfer film — which we supply as a consumable in hundreds of wood patterns. We put the whole set together in one shipment; see the full wood grain sublimation range.

What about CE marking?

The factory-standard chamber needs EU conformity work (guarding, safety circuits, documentation). We arrange the compliance quote and state plainly who formally bears conformity responsibility in your purchase setup — instead of pasting a dubious sticker.
