The rectifier is the heart of the anodising tank — and the most frequently replaced component of existing plants. IGBT technology (transistor-based, >20 kHz) uses about 6% less energy than classic SCR thyristor rectifiers, with more stable current and lower ripple — which translates directly into coating uniformity.
We supply IGBT and SCR rectifiers across the current range used in profile anodising, water- or air-cooled, with local and remote control for line integration. For hard anodising we recommend water-cooled versions with pulse modulation.
This is the best 'first purchase' with us: short lead time, low investment threshold and a fast, visible effect on the power bill. Modernising an existing plant usually starts with the rectifier — and we will gladly calculate whether the rest of the line deserves a refresh too.

Anodising (anodizing) of aluminium profiles and parts, hard anodising, electro-colouring — new lines and retrofits.
Who it is for
Job-shop and in-house anodising plants upgrading tank power supplies; line integrators.
FAQ
IGBT or SCR?
IGBT: higher efficiency, more stable current, smaller footprint — recommended for new installations. SCR: simpler construction and service. For hard anodising choose water-cooled IGBT.
