The multi-log furnace heats long aluminium logs to extrusion temperature and shears them hot into press-length billets: no saw, no chips, no material loss. It is the standard press-feeding solution in a modern extrusion plant.
The chamber holds 9-15 logs of 3 to 15 inch diameter and 3-8 m length. Fired by natural gas, LPG or diesel; heat-up from cold takes 2-4 hours, after which the furnace runs continuously, synchronised with the press cycle. Multi-zone temperature control ensures even heating along the full log, the precondition of repeatable profile quality.
Options: automatic log loading, vertical or horizontal shear, hot-saw version for hard alloys, temperature logging with data export. We size the furnace to your press tonnage and target output.

FAQ
Shear or saw?
The hot shear is faster and produces no chips; the saw gives a cleaner face and suits hard alloys. We advise after reviewing your production mix.
