A thermal break strip extruder is only as good as the material you feed it. This granulate is the exact compound the strips are made of — 75% PA66 polyamide, 25% glass fibre — for extruding C, CT, T, I and hollow-chamber thermal break profiles used in aluminium windows, doors and facades.
It comes from the same manufacturer as our PA66 GF25 strip extruder and is matched to its 70/90 mm screw and multi-cavity dies. That single-source setup is the whole point: when machine and feedstock come from one supplier, there is one party responsible for strip quality — no finger-pointing between the machine maker and the resin trader if tolerance or brittleness issues appear. If you run an extruder from another maker, we match the granulate by datasheet instead, and can arrange a trial batch before you commit to a container.
Logistics are deliberately boring, which is how consumables should be. The trading unit is a 27–28 tonne container, dispatched from the factory 3–4 working days after order confirmation — order processing fits in 1–2 weeks, with sea freight adding roughly 6–8 weeks. It is priced per tonne and follows the polyamide commodity market, so we quote on the day of enquiry (offers typically valid 7–14 days) instead of publishing a range that would be stale within weeks. Order of magnitude: a few thousand euros per tonne, with the best unit rate at full 27–28 t container volume.
What is the minimum order?
The standard unit is a 27–28 tonne container — that is how freight is calculated and where the per-tonne price is best. Smaller quantities are possible in combined shipments, for example granulate pallets loaded into the container with your machine.
Does the granulate need drying before extrusion?
Yes — PA66 is hygroscopic and must be dried before processing, otherwise strips come out brittle and porous. The granulate ships in sealed packaging, and the strip extruders we supply include material drying and automatic feeding as standard.
Is it CE marked?
No, and it cannot be — CE marking under the Machinery Directive applies to machines, not raw materials. What matters for granulate is the technical datasheet, batch analysis and REACH/RoHS compliance, all of which we provide before you order so your quality department can verify them.
Will it run on an extruder from another manufacturer?
